ABOUT THE PATRIOT MS SWIM PROGRAM
A volunteer-run program designed to challenge homeschool athletes to grow in their spiritual walk, self-discipline, leadership, sportsmanship, and teamwork. Also, develop a camaraderie among teammates and a love for swimming. We strive to share the love of Christ with others. 

REGISTRATION
Registration opens September 1st and closes October 31st.

PRACTICES
 
The Patriots Swim team will come together for swim meets against other area middle and high school teams. However, since there are no team practices, all swimmers must find different opportunities for coaching and training. Both “homeschool” daytime practices and evening practices are available in the list below.

Below are the options available:   
1.  Southeast Tennessee Swimming offers practices at 3 different locations -- Ooltewah Swim Center, Hamilton YMCA, and Athens YMCA.  For more information and exact practice times (homeschool daytime or evening) at each location, please email [email protected] or visit  https://www.gomotionapp.com/team/sesets/page/home 

2.  McCallie offers a practice time specifically for middle and high school students who want to compete during the winter season only. 1. Monday, November 3, 2025 @ Ooltewah ( vs. Hunter, Ooltewah Middle, & East Hamilton Middle)
   
2. Wednesday, November 19, 2025 @ Baylor (vs. Baylor, Calhoun and Nooga Swim)
3. Thursday, December 11th, 2025 @ Dalton (vs. Dalton and Signal Mountain)
4. Thursday, January 15th, 2026 (TENTATIVE DATE) @ McCallie (vs McCallie, GPS, Nooga Swim and Signal Mountain)
5. January 30- February 1, 2026–Calhoun Championship Swim Meet @ Calhoun, GA
6. **We are in the process of adding 1 or 2 more meets to this schedule**

 EXPECTATIONS OF ATHLETE

• Be on time and prepared to begin at the scheduled time.
• Wear the proper swimwear.
• Be respectful to your coaches, teammates, and others.
• Follow all instructions from your coaches.
• Always be a good sport.

AGES BRACKET
Rising 6th - 8th grade girls and boys.

COST
$50 per swimmer includes a swim cap. The team fee is due at registration on TeamSnap. (No cash accepted.)

PARENT MEETING
There will be an informational meeting for parents in September to review how meets run and address any questions.  This is a great time for swimmers to meet as well! Watch Facebook for posts or contact Julie West for details.

COMMUNICATION
Registration and communication throughout the season will be via Teamsnap. All families are required to download and utilize the TeamSnap app. 

​WORD TO PARENTS
The best thing you can do as a parent is be their biggest fan and encourager no matter their skill level. Encourage your child to get plenty of rest, water, and food during and before the meet.

 REGISTRATION IS OPEN (9/1.) To register, please click on the blue registration button. You will be redirected to our Teamsnap website to complete all athletic forms and waivers required to participate with CSTHEA Patriots. Please allow at least 15 minutes to complete the registration. Registration places you on the roster; please allow 24 hr to process your registration.
