ABOUT THE PATRIOT BASEBALL PROGRAM
A volunteer-run program designed to challenge homeschool athletes to grow in their spiritual walk, self-discipline, leadership, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
Also, develop a camaraderie among teammates and a love for the game. We strive to share the love of Christ with others.

TRY-OUTS/REGISTRATION
TTry-outs will be the first week of November.  Registration opens September 1st and closes October 31st. Please see blue button below to register. REGISTRATION IS CLOSED.

CONDITIONING
To prepare for the upcoming season, we strongly advise to begin conditioning in early winter. Hitting, strength training, and running in advance will prepare you for practices and games. Will offer an optional 6-week strength and training program.

PRACTICES
The practice facility will be in Ooltewah (3 minutes off of exit 11). It will be a full practice field plus an indoor facility for hitting and pitching workouts. D-bats membership for January and February.
Practice Field Location:
5678 Old Hunter Road, Ooltewah, TN

GAMES
The Patriots will not have a home field this season so all games will be away games, most being no more than an hour away. We are currently finalizing the schedule and hope to accommodate up to 30 regular season games, as well as, participate in the Lookout Valley's Yellow Jacket tournament again this year slated for mid-spring.

WORD TO PARENTS
The best thing you can do as a parent is be their biggest fan and encourager no matter their skill level. Encourage your child to get plenty of rest, water, and food during the season.
COACHES' PHILOSOPHY:
"Largely driven by identifying the strengths that your son may have and making sure that those are used in the best possible way to enhance the performance of the overall team. Baseball, however, is far more about “what is between your ears than what you offer from your shoulders to your cleats” - as one very wise minor league manager once told me. At this phase of the game, kids should be able to self-talk their way to getting better with each and every repetition (fielding, hitting, base-running, pitching). Commitment to the role always breeds new levels of confidence. The best teams are always the ones who execute what they know, not what they wish they could emulate. You get better by challenging yourself to be better! Baseball is an awesome game to watch because it exposes the players who don’t give much time to developing their game IQ and rewards the ones who do.

This team will spend a lot more time in practicing the small facets aka “muscle memory” of the game that contributes to the inning-by-inning success that leads to wins. Respect will be a requirement. Hustle will be a requirement. Commitment will be a requirement. Above all of those, representing Christ will be the most important message we will want to send to those who watch us play. Lastly, but not least important is to get your son to love the game more than he has before and for some to simply love the game once again." -Johnathan Daniell
